An error occurred while saving the comment Wes Rand commentedI agree. I would like more controls over the tracing process as well (Live Trace had a lot more control over the process if I remember right.)

An error occurred while saving the comment Wes Rand commentedAre you looking to add certain features to Illustrator to improve the drawing functions? There are a few I can think of:
-Support for tablets other than Wacom
-Better controls for brushes (I still get some wonky results from certain uses of brushes)
-I would like to be able to move back and forth easily between Illustrator and Photoshop but that might be asking for too much -

I am happy to share that ‘Auto spell-check’ feature has been shipped in the latest version of Illustrator. Here is how to enable/disable it in the latest release : https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new/2020.html#spellcheck

As per the comment, you can replace the spline in a blend via Object > Blend > Replace Spline, if you have a blend and a new spline path selected together.
An error occurred while saving the comment Wes Rand commentedYou can replace the spline in a blend with a curved line. Having more control over the rotation along the line would be a welcome feature.

The team has reworked the whole panel in the latest release build, 27.6.1.
'Expand' and 'Revert to Original' options are available inside the Image Trace Panel.

Please share your thoughts on the following:
1. Would it make sense to have a separate desktop app, just to create charts, and bring them inside Illustrator or InDesign? It may not be on cloud.
2. Or would you rather have us work on building it within Illustrator?
Thanks
YogeshAn error occurred while saving the comment Wes Rand commentedI agree with most of the comments here. There have been problems with the charting tool that have existed for far too long:
• Inability to scale with other objects
• Inability to handle data with commas, dollar signs, etc.
• Inability to maintain styling after data changes
• Lack of data labels
• Strange limit on size of numbers it can handle
• Errors in size of objects the charting tool drawsI would be fine with a stand alone charting program but probably would favor keeping it in Illustrator.
Having the chart linked to external data would be fantastic (Excel but also Google Sheets and other formats.)
Adding more chart types would also be a great update (Sankey, tree, bullet ... dare hope for Coropleth and other location-based chart types?)

The intended solution for this is to use Global Edit feature.
Copy the object you want to replace with, then select one of many copies you want to replace and use Select > Start Global Edit command.
Using Shift, unmark those copies you don’t want to affect.
Isolate the targeted copy.
Paste the copied object and position it correctly relatively the old object.
Delete the old object.
Exit the isolation and end Global Edit.
It may sound convoluted at first, but once you master the method, you’d be able to easily replace almost anything.
Global Edit has its limitations: it doesn’t work for images, text objects, clipped masks, linked objects, and third-party plugins.
Read more about it here: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/global-edit.html

Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

Ashutosh Chaturvedi | Sr. Quality Engineering Manager – IllustratorAn error occurred while saving the comment Wes Rand commentedThank you very much, Sarah. So far that has solved the freezing problem. Seems to have made the problem of Illustrator recognizing mouse clicks worse but I can live with that if it avoids the freezing problem.
An error occurred while saving the comment Wes Rand commentedI'm having this same, serious issue. Makes Illustrator unusable on a MacBookPro

I wonder if this bug is more universal. I have noticed the same problem with a non-Wacom tablet on a Mac.
