An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThis seems like it should be an easy addition. Illustrator's 3D Extrude and Rotate effect is already very, very close. All it has to do is extrude the shape without changing the angle of the source shape,
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedIt's funny because Illustrator already has similar, but far more advanced technology in its 3D Extrude and Bevel effect, but lacks the capability to produce this far more commonly used effect.
In fact, I imagine just a checkbox in the Extrude and Bevel effect panel to lock the angle/rotation of the starting object would be a simple and satisfactory way to incorporate this feature.

Ai allows to use Halftone effects via Effect -> Pixelate -> Color halftone.
What specific cases are not solvable through the use of this?

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI wanted to illustrate one part of why no fullscreen sucks (the waste of significant vertical screen space). And if it's a visualization problem, I made a mockup of what the app might look like in fullscreen. Note the top right corner, where certain elements have been condensed.
Anonymous supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedIt's absolutely ridiculous that almost no Adobe CC apps support fullscreen. This one thing causes me so many little headaches when managing my open applications. I spend a lot of time thinking about switching to Affinity products, and this is the #1 reason why.

Live preview of color is now live in Illustrator 27.1.1, for Color Picker dialog, Color panel, Properties and Control panel, and Appearance panel.
It works in GPU mode only.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThis button is much more convenient than navigating Illustrator’s dropdown menus, but I don’t want to keep the Control bar open only for it.
A button directly below Start Global Edit in the quick actions section of the Properties panel would be a very natural place to put it, since those two buttons sit right next to eachother on the Control bar.

This issue is fixed in latest version of Illustrator. Live shapes (and art in general) no longer have geometric bounds’ sized bounding box with the Preview Bounds option on.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHow is this still not fixed, or even acknowledged by Adobe?
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI'm experiencing the same issue and it's driving me crazy. MacOS Mojave, latest version of Illustrator.

It's baffling that Illustrator has no way to let us save our own presets in its "fancy" and "new" New Document interface. I, as a designer, know far better than anyone else what settings I regularly need for new documents..
As it is, I either have to re-enter the dimensions, color settings, etc. every time I want a specific layout, OR I have to go digging through my files for my custom templates.
Just let me save my **** presets, Adobe. Why is this so hard?
