Hi Everyone,
All the effect checkboxes have now been set to ON by default, and are sticky (meaning that if you disable preview, on next launch of Illustrator preview will remain disabled). This functionality now is available in our latest release build – 24.1.1 for Win and 24.1 for Mac which is available worldwide now.

Hi Everyone,
This functionality is available in our latest release build – 27.6.1.
Illustrator remembers the last preset used for saving PDF files and keeps it as the default preset.

I am happy to share that we have shipped the Bullets and Numbering in 26.4 update for Illustrator. It’s a phased rollout so you may not see 26.4 update yet but it would rollout globally in a day or two.
You can read about this and other new features here ( https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new/2022-5.html ).

Hi Everyone,
This has been completed, and has available since June 2020 release (version 24.2)
Please go to Illustrator preferences > General > and select “Show/Hide Rulers” (refer attached screenshot). After checking this, if you hit ‘Show Rulers (Ctrl/Cmd + R)’, then the rulers will appear in every document (new and old), even after relaunching Illustrator.
Please update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.3.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Oliver Malms commented@Egor: Thanks for the clue! This somehow seems to fix the Bug, but (off course) you have to accept the loss of this setting. Illustrator 24.1.3 with the same setting switched on works as expected, so this really seems to be a bug in 24.2
An error occurred while saving the comment Oliver Malms commentedDeleting the preferences is a workaround, but you have to configure everything from scratch then, what I am not (yet) willing to do. Switching back to the last version of Illustrator makes everything work again. I went back and forth several times and was able to reproduce the bug. Illustrator 24.2 seems (in some cases) to have a problem using preferences from the previous version and that is really poor... I will stay with 24.1.3 as nothing essential changed in 24.2 and hope they will fix this in 24.2.x....
An error occurred while saving the comment Oliver Malms commentedAfter updating to Version 24.2 dragging objects with the Shift Key hold down does not work anymore. Instead of aligning the Object it forces it to stay in place. The same bug appears while doing "Alt-Drag" together with the Shift Key. This is a essential function in Illustrator an I think a lot of people use it every day. I will step back to the last version until this is fixed... Surprisingly this occurs only on one of our two Macs...

An error occurred while saving the comment Oliver Malms commentedWhen I am zoomed in and drag an object - for example draw a rectangle or line that reaches the end of the window while dragging, the artboard scrolls but the image is not refreshed. Only the ruler shows me, that I am scrolling... Even when I stop dragging and release the mousebutton, the image is not fully refreshed. Otherwise: when I drag the Marquee-Tool to the end of the window, scrolling starts and the image gets constantly refreshed while dragging. This is the way I would normally expect it to be, regardless of the the Tool I am using. Illustrator behaves this way since I know it and I really don’t understand why it does so. Performance can’t be the reason. Even old Macromedia Freehand, 15 years ago could handle this - being a PowerPC App, running under Rosetta on an old Intel-Mac...
@Ribeye: You do not have to turn Smart Guides off completely, just the "transform tools" setting. I can only show the German Settings, but it should look quite the same. Off course, this can only be a temporary workaround... As people at Adobe are already into it, I hope they will fix this soon...
