Background:

- Some users have spoken about InDesign – InDesign does not support Global Process colors
- Illustrator does support process colors , global process colors and spot colors. The issue is specefic to global process colors – since it is not supported in CC Libraries. We have added the request to support in CC libraries backlog,
Workaround:

Live preview of color is now live in Illustrator 27.1.1, for Color Picker dialog, Color panel, Properties and Control panel, and Appearance panel.
It works in GPU mode only.

This has been implemented in the latest version, 27.3.1
An error occurred while saving the comment L Coyle commentedI've been asking for this for a long time! We need more votes! Scaling should be proportional with a link/lock button on the panel.
This Transform Each panel also appears when using Transform Effects in the Appearance Panel. This is like the only place in Illustrator (or any graphics program) where you can't scale uniformly without painstakingly changing both horizontal and vertical.L Coyle supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment L Coyle commentedGuides disappear when I drag them to reposition. They work fine when I drag one out from the ruler, but if I try to reposition, they are not visible when I drag and they appear when I release.

Latest Beta Build 29.2.34 now adds Eyedropper in the Color Picker dialog to allow us pick colors from artwork.
Please try to test it and comment on if it works as you expect.
An error occurred while saving the comment L Coyle commentedI have always been able to drag the eyedropper tool outside of the illustrator window to sample colors - until v25.1
Now, all colors sampled outside are black or greyscale. I am holding shift to override the Appearance setting in Eyedropper options. This is a new bug.
I'm on MacOS 10.15.7

An error occurred while saving the comment L Coyle commentedWhen I have real-time drawing turned on, I can't select multiple objects that contain freeform gradients and scale them without losing the appearance of the objects. A single object works, more than one at a time will not. If I turn off real-time in preferences, this resolves the issue.
Mac os 10.14, Illustrator c 24.2

Problem resolves when turning real-time off:

We need a fix! This bug becomes more confusing with Illustrator on the iPad - because when you take a library theme color and save it in you document swatches on the iPad it AUTOMATICALLY becomes global process. hmm
In fact any swatch you mix and save becomes global process on iPad Illustrator.
When you open your .aic from the iPad in Illustrator on the desktop, swatches stay global, process, yay yay!
But if you save any of those colors in the library, they become spot (sigh).
