It's not normally needed when working with CMYK colors, and I've never used it before.
I've seen beginner users using it incorrectly, so I'd like it to be hidden when in CMYK mode.

This is a flawed implementation that mass-produces users who have absolutely no idea how CMYK colors converted from HEX are actually generated.
In practice, many questions are coming in from people who confuse HEX color codes with CMYK values, saying things like “the HEX value I entered keeps changing.” It can be assumed that the number of users making this mistake is extremely high.

Printing is not simply a matter of just being in CMYK. With images it might pass, but simply applying profile-converted numerical values to Illustrator objects causes major dulling of colors due to print instability and the very CMYK percentage mix itself.

If you don’t want to leave users in a state of complete ignorance, this field should be removed from the CMYK mode panel immediately.

The idea of a workflow that hops back and forth between CMYK mode and HSB is a fringe minority opinion, and making this the standard is a serious mistake.

HEXカラーから変換されたCMYKカラーがどう作られているのか、全く分かっていないユーザーを量産するおかしな実装です。

Displaying a HEX value input field when the color panel is in CMYK mode is completely incorrect.
HEX values represent the RGB color model itself and cannot substitute for the CMYK color. Therefore, the current specification causes serious misunderstanding for users.
