Keyboard shortcut for Object > Path > Offset Path gets lost and the command is missing in Keyboard Shortcuts dialog
I use Offset Path a lot in my work, so I have set a keyboard shortcut for it — Cmd+Shift+Å. This has worked always, until now.
Now I cant even see the Object > Path > Offset Path in Keyboard Shortcuts dialog. Still I see that this function has a shortcut, but not the one I have set. See pictures.
Now I noticed, that system changes the keyboard setting that I've made to Effect > Path > Offset Path.
Is thee a way around, or is this something that I'll need to wait to be fixed?

For the past few months I've had a shortcut key assigned to Object - Path - Offset Path. About 2 weeks ago it stopped functioning. I went to reapply it to the Keyboard Shortcuts panel and found that it no longer exists. I can see it in the dropdown menus on the interface between Outline Stroke and Reverse Path Direction, but it doesn't show up at all anymore in the shortcuts. I'm not sure what happened but I'd really like to get it back as it's a huge timesaver with my job. Any advice would be appreciated.

Interesting...
According to the help page at https://helpx.adobe.com/se/illustrator/desktop/manage-objects/edit-objects/offset-duplicate-objects.html it should be 'Objekt > Bana > Förskjutning'... but the screenshot provided displays the 'Skapa yttekontur' command in the place where 'Offset Path' should be.
What does this 'Skapa yttekontur' do? -

I couldn't find the function Offset Path (Förskjuten bana) on the Swedish version of Illustrator 30.1.
I'm on MacOs Sequoia 15.7.3It is usually located at Object > Path > Offset Path (Objekt > Bana > Förskjuten bana)
Tried to reinstall illustrator.
Tried rebooting.
Tried clear preference and cache in Mac library. When we uninstalled the Swedish version and Installed an English version (North America) it showed up and is working.

In the Keyboard Shortcuts menu under Object > Path, the "Offset Path" and "Outline Path" actions are no longer available.
I know how the commands work, and when there are conflicts, I always find an alternative. But now with the new Illustrator 29.8.1 update (September 2025), I've lost these two actions in the PATH section, which I usually use for my work. So I can't assign my custom hotkey. -

I have exactly the same problem.

I'd like to have the "Offset Path" command back in the OBJECT > PATH section, with the option to assign a custom command via "Keyboard Shortcuts" as before the last Illustrator update.
I need to actually see and obtain the path, not through a visual effect.Problem:
In the drop-down menu in OBJECT > PATH, the OFFSET PATH and TRACE OUTLINE options are there and work, BUT THEY ARE NOT PRESENT in the shortcut database, so a custom command cannot be added.I use paths in all their features, so I absolutely needs to have the right commands for productivity as before.
Thanks to anyone who will support me with this request. -
Please, send over these specific .kys-files to sharewithai@adobe.com for the investigation.
It feels like Ai can’t read or allow to use the combinations used; Cmd + Shift + Å (perhaps because of the overring) and Ctrl + F4 (because it’s a system combination to close the document — Ai even does not allow me to assign it in the first place, so I am surprised you were bale to assign it in the first place).
A workaround would be to create the set anew, and see if it stumbles at this specific hotkey in particular. Please comment back on this. -
