    I can't launch AI 2020 24.2 either after update this morning, June 25. No diagnostics are able to run. I'll try the usual and report back my fixes if possible.
    UPDATE -- I uninstalled v 24.2, restarted my iMac Pro, reinstalled the previous version 24.1.3, and I'm back in business.
    Lesson learned but ignored on my part: don't do an update midweek, especially on a deadline.
    I'll address the issue either this weekend or next, or maybe Adobe will issue a fix by then.
