When creating a new layer, have an option to switch to that layer using a shortcut key.
With the rise of programable keyboards and digital decks like Touch Portal, making shortcuts and macros to speed up workflow has never been easier.
If this option was available (even in Photoshop and InDesign) I could set up macros and shortcuts to make switching layers faster, especially on big projeccts where time is precious.
