   Does it still happen for you in the latest build?

   Does it happen when you use Properties?

   Does it happen when you use the dedicated Appearance panel?

   Is it only Drop Shadow or any effect is a problem?

   I usually use the drop shadow effect on objects (effects > stylize > drop shadow) and have had no issues using it. However recently, Illustrator instantly crashes the moment I attempt to delete the effect. I've also had issues scaling an object with an inner glow effect. Illustrator would tell me that I have no RAM space available (even though I have 32 GB of it...) I usually have google chrome open but I doubt it's taking up THAT much space.
