That's great to ask for this feature. There must be a legit way/option in the menus to clear the clipboard data/cache or similar temporary data while the app is open/running whenever required to the user. Normally illustrator offer to clear the clipboard data after close button is pressed (at application exit time) which is useful though but what is the point in closing and reopen the app on and on just to get rid of clipboard/temporary data so that PC could stop behaving sluggish. It's happening on my PC having 8gb of Ram 1gb graphic card Core i7 processor 1000gb hard disk. It's a ROG PC, a gaming PC from ASUS. Fairly good PC.
