    Teh expensive Hotdoor cadtools plugin has existed for over a decade. illustrator being a design tool & especially with the use of laser cutters now having teh ability to cretae simple 2d cAD would bee idela for illustrator. the simple scaled sizing of objects & distances & dimensions from each other as definable. Just the basic ability to offset a line by a specified amount from another would improve illustrator. adding the quick ability to fillet where 2 lines meet.
