    Same here, Illustrator 2022 fails to read some TIFs and as a result existing AI files (working until now) with placed images and linked files are failing. All versions of Illustrator 2022 (26.0.X) are affected to various degrees, some accept more linked TIFs than others. Reverting to version 2021 (25.4.1) solves the issue.
