    Same with me on the latest illustrator 2022. I had to install previous version in order to work in illustrator. Last few times, my computer crashed. It would open the force quite window and say illustrator was running from 4 GB of memory to 250 GB of memory, up and down until it finally settled down or crashed the app or finally just crashed the computer. I updated to latest Mac OS but that didn't do anything to illustrator issues. I tried using external drive with 5 TB of memory as scratch disk, but didn't help much. Finally installed previous version of illustrator and all is working fine for now.
