Similar to 3ds Max, there should be an option to select objects by type through a dropdown menu. The menu could include categories such as Fill, Stroke, Text, Shapes, and other object types.
Once a specific object type is selected, users should be able to drag a selection box (marquee/marching ants) across the canvas, and the software would automatically select only the chosen object type within that area. This selection should work regardless of whether the objects are grouped, isolated, or distributed across multiple layers. Also, a check box to allow the selection of locked objects too.
Implementing this feature would significantly improve workflow efficiency by eliminating the need to manually locate and select individual objects one by one.
