Please see if Snap to Grid is on in your document? If yes then try turning that off and try again.Launch Illustrator and check if it works and share the outcome with us .
Otherwise follow below steps :
> Click on finder , when you will click on finder on mac at the top you will see an option as “Go”
> choose Go > Go To Folder
> In go to folder , type ~/library
> choose application support/Adobe/rename the folder named as Adobe Illustrator22Settings to Adobe Illustrator21Settings.old
> go back to library folder where you got application support folder and scroll down
> Open the Preferences Folder rename the folder named as Adobe Illustrator22Settings to Adobe Illustrator22Settings.old

Also, did try the Snap to Grid option but it did not work.
