MacPro - Mojave latest build
128GB of RAM
Font Agent Latest Build for Font ProgramAn error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedSince the Mojave update and Illustrator update the program is much more stable. Still balks a little bit with type, but not a single crash or RAM Error.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedApplied patch, program seems much more stable. Still have 1 issue that is vexing,
working with live type the program is very slow to respond to highlighting text.
Sometimes the letter/word I want misses and ends up on a different word/letter
because the program is slow to respond. I would ask Adobe to look into how fonts
are handled in the latest update.OS: Mohave
Font Program: Font Agent latest build.Otherwise much easier to work with.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI don't know if anyone else has noticed it, but I have the most problems when dealing with "Live" type.
The program is somewhat slow in response to anything dealing with type.
When using outlined type or regular objects, the program is much more responsive.MAC: Mojave using Font Agent (latest version).
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI'm using Mojave and the problem is the same.
"Can't preview...outline view...Crash!"
First time it happened it was "Not Enough RAM" I have 128GB.
It happens a lot while working with type. Using Latest FontAgent.Anonymous supported this idea ·
I found this worked for me. I had all the same problems as stated plus really slow type work.
I went in and threw out EVERY pref file for EVERY version of Illustrator I had. It seems legacy pref
files are continued over. Let Illustrator rebuild a new prefs file. Reset all you pallets, etc. It's a pain in the **** but my Illustrator has been flying ever since. I will probably work with Photoshop and In Design also.
I noted where the prefs files came from in BOTH system and User Library. Put in trash (Do Not Empty)
Let Illustrator rebuild my prefs, restarted and when everything worked. emptied the trash. GOOD LUCK!
