   The fix is pushed into the latest Prerelease build (v29.8) and is scheduled to get shipped into the next general build. Please try the pre release or Beta builds and let us know your observations.

   Well, a student at Cornish just solved the issue: go to preferences, change to mm, press ok, then change again to inches. And please, fix the bug!
