    Yes indeed it is an absolute MUST have. Adobe is so far behind they think they are first. Adobe Illustrator is very good at wasting your time. There is no reason why, when you have multiple files open, and you are saving one, EVERYTHING is locked out till that one file is finished saving. There is NO excuse for this!

    Indeed this is a major fault in Illustrator.
    Literally Centuries of Combined time has been wasted waiting for files to save.
    The whole file saving / exporting process is in dire need of streamlining.
    It is such a laborious process to save multiple files, especially if like me you are saving in both pdf and ai formats.

    As an added bonus Illustrator does not remember the last parameters you used when saving or exporting.

    Saving should be a 1 or at most 2 step process, and no endless confirmations.
