    I am having a very similar issue. My illustrator was working fine this morning and now all of a sudden this afternoon, every time I click to do anything, I get the spinning beach ball of death. I have restarted my computer multiple times and even updated to the most recent version of Mojave to no avail. It is complete impractical. I can't do anything unless I am willing to wait 4-5 seconds between every movement or click of the mouse.
