    I've outlined the type and expanded the appearance so it is one shape without any stroke on it.

    So basically I have this shape that I am trying to subtract the white type out of so it is one shape (like a stamp) where the white type is open, not white fill.

    When I go to delete the white type from the path, or minus front, or divide, or using the shaper tool (it doesnt matter-same thing happens across the board)- the appearance of the type changes, becoming thinner- but the vector doesn't actually change... it's a visual thing, but its noticeably different.

    Not sure if that makes sense or if this has happened to anyone else....

    Does anyone know how to fix this or why it's happening?
