    Agreed this has been a huge feature set that has been missing from Illustrator for years. I work for an architectural firm and while I don't need the complexity of a full CAD package for most the work I do, having drawings (elevations, plans and sections) which I can easily set scales and do rough area calculations is extremely handy. I previously worked for a signage company and used Corel Draw. I currently use the CadTools plugin.
