    I modified things through experimentation. These are the setting that work for me. They are permissions in the system preferences. I ended up not using the scratch disk solution, because sometimes it worked, sometimes not:

    1. Install the most recent Wacom driver
    1. Go to system Preferences
    2. Security and Privacy
    3. Accessibility/unlock and check your Intuous tablet (not HuionTablet–that's mine), Tablet Driver Agent.app, and Wacom Tablet Driver.app as per the screenshot. Make sure to click the radio box
    4. Click the lock to lock
    5. This should fix it. Good luck!
