Hi Everyone,
Background Save is now available in Illustrator CC 2020 (24.0.0 or higher versions).
You may read about this here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/saving-artwork.html#background_save
Please update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Hi, know what? I had problems with the new feauture "background savings".
In my modest opinion, this is valuable only for people who work with very big ai files; infact, speaking about my situation, my workflow is concentrated mainly on medium-heavy documents, and I've always used to use the "combo" shortcut command+s - command+w, to save and close; the background savings has a conflict with that, because when you click command+w, the document is still saving and an alert popup comes out, and you have to click ok to close it...so a waste of time.
Thanks to Mr. Abhisheek from adobe tech support, we found out that we can disable background saving (both two options in AI preferences), and everything come back to normal. At least normal for some people like me, and many others ;-)
Hope this helps someone,
Have a good day :-)
