   You are not going to believe it... something magical happened. After 8 years of waiting, the Magic Wand Tool is going to remember the settings between sessions — only in Beta for now, starting with 30.4.0.187

   Please update, test, and comment back.

   Also, while this is a long-awaited change, I suggest upvoting this large request about other great Magic Wand upgrades — it needs your votes.

   1000% - start with zero tolerance. The Magic is that it selects all of one specific color , why select multiple shades at once....can always shift /add it to select more colors.

   PS now does not need to hold shift to constrain in proportion. Please do same for Ai
