An error occurred while saving the comment P O'Hagan commentedSorry I don't remember what version I had. All I know is I still automatically double-click when I am done drawing, then use join if I want to close a path. It is just more natural when I am creating complex artwork. Especially if I creating as I go along. Thanks for considering it.
An error occurred while saving the comment P O'Hagan commentedI have been using Illustrator since about version 1 or 2. Ending a line was never a two-handed task. Double-clicking was automatic for me until I was forced to start using "Adobe Creative Cloud" a couple years ago. Not sure what version I had then. I still do it out of habit.
The double-click to change the "node" was never available. I would just drag for a curve and click for a corner, and change it with the other tool later if needed, since I usually want to adjust it anyway.
I'll try escape, but would still prefer a one-handed method. Thanks.

Again, it is awkward and disrupting to have to use two hands. As for "inprecision", Illustrator is not very exact to start with.
Lasso in Photoshop doesn't end with a double-click, you just let go of the mouse and it closes. I have never used FreeHand or other drawing programs.
I am an actual artist that uses this program. I am asking for an option to make my workflow faster. How it has been lately is annoying and awkward. Even a right-click would be better.
