It is not clear on your post which version of Illustrator you are using.

Hi I bought a new iMac 4 months ago.
I work on Monterey 12.2.1.
From day one it was glitchy in illustrator and now in Photoshop.
I create a file and save it onto our server. When I go to reopen it I get the 'cant open the document as it's either locked or in use' pop up.
If I drag the file onto my desk top (it tells me with another pop up that I can't do that as I don't have permission, but does it anyway).
I can then usually open the file.
This is my work computer and I recently sent off the wrong artwork for print because I'd forgotten the re-drag it onto the server.
I can't work like this and its untenable when I have lots and lots of artwork to complete.
I have re installed my Adobe suite and it's not solved it.
Is it the software or the hardware that is at fault and how do I cure it?
