As of the current situation, I have reverted to Adobe Illustrator 2023 version 27.5. Under the retention of the original preference settings without changing any options, the use of the "~" key regarding this issue has returned to normal. I believe this clearly indicates that some changes were introduced in the latest version, affecting the functionality of this feature. I think this needs improvement in the upcoming updates.

I tried the changes you suggested, but it didn't help with my needs. What I require is no change to the outline itself, only the internal pattern to be moved. The command caused a situation where the outline moved, but the position of my pattern remained unchanged. I need to relocate the pattern within my working area, so this method doesn't work for me.

Unlike the situation in the link you provided, I had both Adobe Illustrator 2023 version 27.0 and Adobe Illustrator 2024 installed simultaneously. I opened both applications at the same time. In the 2023 version, this command was effective (although it ceased to function after I updated to version 27.9 yesterday), but in the 2024 version, it doesn't work.

I'd like to provide a supplement. Yesterday, when updating Adobe Illustrator 2023 to version 27.9, I encountered an error. Consequently, after reinstalling, the same issue appeared in Adobe Illustrator 2023 version 27.9. So... I'm not sure if it's a difference in versions or if, even with the option "Inherit this preference using," some preferences are still overlooked.

During installation, preferences are inherited, so I don't believe it's a simple setting difference. I am a Chinese user from Taiwan, and the suggested method in the link to "delete all languages except American English" doesn't apply to me.
