    Also, when creating these character styles we are unable to click the color and change it. We have to chose whatever is in there. (And if we have to establish the swatches first, that just adds another step instead of us just being able to pick colors within the character styles box; Same happens in Indesign and its frustrating).

    Well, it would be of great help if this functionality was added.
    (As it would be with the unchecked box for Hyphenate. I know we're been asking for this one for years) :)

    Honestly, I could swear it used remember the color in the past CS3...

    Anyhow, this would be super helpful for those of us who have to write more than one thing and keep the same color.

    Hi,

    Yes, that’s like in InDesign, but it’s an extra step that has to be set up and it’s the same thing - we still have to stop, highlight the text we want to change and apply the style. It would be so much nicer to check a box to keep the color and /or font as started, and not go back to defaults each time we need to type a line of text in the same doc.
