It would be most useful to have the eyedropper with the same functions it has in InDesign: sampling attributes from the source and applying them to multiple recipient subjects consecutively. In Illustrator it works backwards, you have to have selected the recipient and then click with the dropper on the source, and in this way it is impossible to quickly repeat the operation because you have to change tools and select the recipient each time.
