    I’ve been using Adobe Illustrator for many years, but I’ve never understood the concept behind the default settings of this tool (nor the inability to save/set default values). The given tolerances are too high for most selection needs, and in almost every case, an exact match is desired (i.e., all tolerances set to 0, with fill & stroke color and stroke weight active). Constantly having to reset the tool is nerve-wracking!
    Ignoring this request for so many years is, moreover, regrettable.
