    No, my complaint is that they DON'T get toggled on their own by switching tools. In previous versions of Illustrator, Free Transform would always scale corners, strokes and effects when you resized with it. And normal Selection would not, at least by default. Now there seems to be no difference between them - except that Free Transform can also do perspective distort and free distort, but I see no difference between basic Free Transform and the Selection tool. Regardless which one you're using, if you want to switch between scaling corners/strokes/effects or not scaling them, you need to go to the transform panel and check/uncheck the boxes for it. Previously all I had to do was press V or E which was so much faster.
