    Within InDesign there is a tool called the Gradient Feather Tool. It lets you easily fade a box with a solid color to nothing for that amazing feather effect. I use this tool a lot in my designs to fade a color on a page or within a box. You can do this effect within Illustrator, but it takes multiple steps and is just MUCH EASIER to do within InDesign. I just thought if something was a great tool and makes something easy in one Adobe Program, it would make sense to put the same tool in another Adobe program to make a task easier no matter where you're performing that said task.
