There’s no point in counting on those sleepers. I recommend creating a script with the help of AI.
I created a text object and named it “X” in the Layers panel.
Then I asked for a script to be written: find an object named “X” on layer “A” and insert, for example, the author A. Smith, or today’s date in the dd.mm.yyyy format, or the file name without the suffix.
Now all I have to do is paste (with layer memory) an object named “X”, run the file, and magic happens.
While the iron was hot, I also made scripts to export files with a specific list of layers turned on/off, into specific output files—referencing predefined settings.
So scripts offer great possibilities, and I have the impression that we’ll be able to help ourselves faster this way.
