   WebP export support is added in illustrator 27.6.

   There is no information yet about exporting other formats requested. Meanwhile, we can import / place HEIC/HEIF, WebP and AVIF already.

   I’d like to request JPEG XL (JXL) support in Adobe Illustrator, including both importing and exporting the format.

   JXL offers better compression, higher quality, lossless options, HDR support, and is designed as a modern replacement for JPEG. Adding JXL support would help Illustrator stay compatible with current image standards and improve workflows that need high‑quality, efficient raster assets.
   

   Requested features:

   Import JXL files

   Export JXL with quality settings

   Support both lossy & lossless modes
