I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.3.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

This is a critical problem Adobe, please help!
Ritika, I'm shocked to read your statement 'This is as designed, and not a bug. '. This either means screen designers are not considered as Illustrator users in 2018 or this is a major oversight by the development team.
Don't get me wrong, this is a great feature for print design, and I love it when I design for print. For screen, this is a complete nightmare.
I really like to know if Adobe is shifting focus on print design with Illustrator or not, or if this will be fixed soon (like lightning fast soon) as for the first time I'm actually seriously looking at other options.
I'm very happy to help however I can, send screenshots with different monitor setups with various OS scaling options, with or without pixel preview, etc.
