    Hello all,


    This functionality is now available in all the public builds starting V29.0.

    To use this functionality, simply select colors from your swatches panel and click on 'create gradient' in the swatch panel options.

    Please try out this feature and let us know what you think!

    Sometimes i feel handicapped while working with gradients.
    It feels like that Illustrator is holding my leg when working with gradients.

    I want Illustrator to help make a gradients from the colors of selected shapes or objects. Since the option is not available so, I have to select colors from swatches individually and put them on gradient bar to make a gradients.

    nice. or it could let us make gradients from colors of selected shapes on the art board.
    I have just posted same request for gradients.

  2. Gradient does not show when it is being applied on live text

    hi,
    New is illustrator is great in many ways but i have found one bug* or intentional modification by adobe.

    it is nice to see live preview of gradient as it is being applied.. for the objects, gradient tool works fine as intended but when it is applied to text, it is buggy, i think.
    once mouse is clicked for applying gradient, after setting colors in gradient panel and new fill from appearance panel, text vanishes entirely, not allowing to see the gradient. once mouse is released, text with applied gradient appears. it is annoying.
