This issue is fixed in Creative Cloud Desktop 5.2 update.
If you have not updated to Creative Cloud Desktop 5.2 update then you can try restarting the machine to proceed with installation.

@kai, This is how I fixed it in Windows...
1) Uninstall Illustrator from "Add or remove programs" (just type that in the search bar)
2) Reboot <- critical
3) Reinstall from Creative Cloud
Simple, but unnecessarily annoying since I haven't had this happen to any other Adobe app EVERY time it's updated.
