I have used Illustrator for many years and since updating to Catalina I have not been able to paste the text into the save dialog box when saving a file. For instance, we have a google doc my team shares where we put art file names in numerical sequence. We have the file so we don't duplicate file numbers. We copy out of the google doc and paste it into the save dialog box as we save new illustrator files. Now all of a sudden we have to create the name then retype it into the illustrator dialog box. It's very inconvenient and time-consuming. Also, you can't copy from the save dialog box and past into the Google doc.
