   Fixed and works as it should do in Beta 30.0.0.72 — please try to install it (or update if it’s installed) and verify if it works for you, before it gets pushed into General build.

   This issue seems to still be present in the latest 2020 release (v24.0 64 Bit), it was not there initially on the previous 2019/23.0 version on my PC, it's quite frustrating and counter-productive, especially that the Ctrl+F6 alternative shortcuts are not an option on compact keyboards (e.g. Surface Type Cover)
