I just had Adobe install CC2018 and it has the functional Object...Path...Simplify tool. It will be a pain in the a$$ but at least I have that tool. I now have two version of CC 24.x (aka 2020) and 2018 (I assume CC 22.x).
Anonymous supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedWow, this new path simplify is not usable. I'm a cartographer and all my vector data comes from GIS. GIS does not support bezier curves and the simple fix was to simplify the path in Illustrator at 99% and bezier curves were added and my vectors were not altered too much. I can't work with this new ****, please offer a legacy option or write a script that I can plug in. I updated from CS6 to CC so I didn't have to explain to my clients to send me a legacy AI file b/c I have CS6. Now I'm about to upgrade again from CC to CS6 so I can have my path simplify that I have been using for the past 15 years. This new junk should be its own tool somewhere else in AI that I would never use. Feel free to e-mail me when this has been resolved and I may come back to CC.
Make paths simple again
