    Make paths simple again

    I had to have Adobe install it remotely. I tried the 23.1 version and it was bad. I just started a chat. Best of luck

    I have a hard copy of CS6, however, I didn't have to go back that far. I just had Adobe install CC2018 and it has the functional Object...Path...Simplify tool. It will be a pain in the a$$ but at least I have that tool. I now have two version of CC 24.x (aka 2020) and 2018 (I assume CC 22.x).

    Wow, this new path simplify is not usable. I'm a cartographer and all my vector data comes from GIS. GIS does not support bezier curves and the simple fix was to simplify the path in Illustrator at 99% and bezier curves were added and my vectors were not altered too much. I can't work with this new ****, please offer a legacy option or write a script that I can plug in. I updated from CS6 to CC so I didn't have to explain to my clients to send me a legacy AI file b/c I have CS6. Now I'm about to upgrade again from CC to CS6 so I can have my path simplify that I have been using for the past 15 years. This new junk should be its own tool somewhere else in AI that I would never use. Feel free to e-mail me when this has been resolved and I may come back to CC.
