What Rob said... THIS NEEDS TO BE MOVED TO THE (((FRONT))) OF THE LINE! A super basic feature that even CorelDraw had 10 years ago. I'm losing a ton of money on an infographic project I under-bidded - not realizing this option wouldn't be available to me and will now take twice as long. It feels like I'm suddenly in the Twilight Zone - just now discovering that Illustrator can't justify text vertically. Mind = Blown.

I could do this in CorelDraw - 10 years ago!! I have a huge infographic chart to build for a client with graphic cubes that are all the same size but some have 1 to 4 lines of text. So, I have to manually adjust the text frame of every single one, align the text with the object, and then go and re-align the whole row again, and then distribute objects evenly everytime because this one BASIC feature is missing? I'm so disgusted that I'm now losing 2 hours of money on this project because I was searching for an answer that doesn't exist. Not to mention how much more I'll lose now that I'm aware there's no vertical text alignment feature. Absolutely unreal to me.
