Please make the slicing more like Fireworks with naming and sizes individual for each artboad (like stages/pages in Fireworks).
Currently I can not export bitmap icons with the the right names and in the right sizes as in Fireworks including padding.
And when I go to another document for a different platform (an app), I have to include the different sizes again.
Also I have no preview like in legacy before I overwrite the old picts.
Making graphics for mobile devices, your presets are based on the lowest resolution (@1). Some user control please...
Bring back Fireworks...

Having had to slice up an Illustrator file this week, it’s so frustrating how basic the tool/process is with no control over resolution/size.
I had to bring the file into Photoshop and do it from there, still not as good as Fireworks which was intuitive and flexible.

Since slices allow us to optimize to a set file size, we use sliced artboards at work to quickly create/export jpegs for the Google Display Network and for our sites. We've made the process pretty seamless with solid templates, but the only thing we haven't figured out how to do is rename the slices. The default is FileName_SliceNumber, but that slice number doesn't help us see the dimensions at a glance. If in our template we could rename slice "_04" to "728x90" or whatever custom descriptor was necessary, we wouldn't need to manually change the slice name when delivering assets to vendors and clients.
