Python scripting support
Illustrator supports vbscript and javascript... But not Python. Python support would be awesome - it's a very common language, easy to use, has lots and lots of libraries to simplify workflows etc.

You can run python scripts via Visual Studio Code (Windows 10) but it is awfully slow compared to Illustrator's support for javascript.
I saw a number of Adobe Engineers using Python during the Adobe MAX Sneaks presentation.

It's good addition to Python to add capabilities to Python to handle ai files
