I found a bug in the function 'locate object'.
During the launch of the "locate object" action, if the layers window is closed, the action does not start at all. Although, the similar action "flip object" forcibly call the transform panel.

Allow the layers panel to automatically locate/reveal/show selected object rather than having to click the hamburger menu and then find & click "locate object" every single time.

Also, the cursor of the located objects should be in the middle of the panel (not at the bottom, as it is now):

Disable the automatic unroll of the layer to the sublayer in which the selected object is
Since the upgrade toward AI CC 2019, in the Layer Panel, the layer automatically unrolls to show the sublayer in which the selected object is. When another object in another layer is selected, the layer unrolls too and the first layer stays unrolled.
According to the support, this is the new feature to make the use smoother. I would have to disagree on that and it would be nice to be able to disable that automatic unroll since it makes the use of the layers panel very complicated. From what I recall, this feature was not part of the older version (AI CC 2018 for example) and using the layer panel was easier because we could see the sublayers only if wanted.

When working in a complex file, I'd like to be able to select an element and go straight to its layer in the layers panel. This would allow me to quickly lock layers and whole folders as necessary.

Please add a panel option to the "Layers" panel to expand new layers by default. I'm sick of clicking it for each new document I create.
