  1. Lock, hide, deactivate artboards

An option to lock, hide or deactivate one or several artboards would improve working with multiple versions of graphics — especially when you you need to return to an earlier iteration.

When saving to an AI-file you have to erase the artboard (with the graphics floating in space) to get rid of the page.

We’ll send you updates on this idea

In 30.0 version the team added a Lock column in the Artboards panel, that allows to 'Lock all objects on an artboard instantly to prevent accidental edits'.

While it adds a really useful ability, it doesn’t really match the original intention this request was about — to make artboards themselves (not objects on them) unexportable, unprintable, disabled for navigation, etc. The request was thus split and merged into a separate entry — Option for Artboards to be non-printing and non-exportable (inactive)
