Pencil tool options - like on desktop illustrator
Would be lovely to have more control of the pencil tool. I simply tried doing my signature and it was getting all distorted because the points were connecting wherever they pleased... impossible getting line right when working on smaller details. Pencil Tool would be extremely helpful to have for future work. Thank you kindly.

Agreed! That is primarily how I use the pencil tool: draw a line and keep it selected while redrawing some or all of it. Editing a pencil line only by manipulating anchor points and handles feels redundant to the functions of the pen tool, and doesn’t give you that immediacy of live drawing and editing. @jess thanks for the workaround... I’m going to give that a try in the meantime!

Yes! I primarily use the pencil tool in illustrator for drawing (on my desktop). I was disappointed that the pencil tool in the iPad version didn't work the same. I usually draw with it and then use it to adjust points by drawing over them (on the iPad it deselects the line immediately and I can't change it).

@anonym You must be new here. Just check the feature updates of Adobe software over the last 10 years. It takes them 1 year for a tiny useful feature and for 3 extra features no one asked for, but are simple to implement. You will need to wait one year until one new product owner accidentally finds this page, asks a obvious question about the feature and then disappears for another 2 years.

Is there already something of an update planned for this? Right now it feels no ones looking at it.

Also a paint brush tool that exactly behaves like the desktop version.

A workaround for this (IMO), that I've been using the past couple months is to use the Blob Brush tool with the smoothing increased. I use this for my signature and when I need some precise smaller details. Hope this helps while the developers make this happen!

Exactly this. Shouldve been there already imo. I want to brush along the lines i created in order to correct them where i see fit.

All we need is a Pencil Tool that behaves exactly like the desktop version.
