  2. Make iPad AI more compatible with external keyboard

    I have noticed when using a Magic Keyboard with AI on the iPad, that the arrow keys do not function in relation to typing blocks of text. How about the ability to move the curser with the arrow keys? It is fiddly using your finger on the touch screen to place the curser accurately.

  3. Hello, there is a problem in writing in Arabic. Please support the correct writing of the Arabic language in the next update. Thanks

    The letters are written separately from each other, and it is correct in the Arabic language that the letters are written connected to each other

    I use a lot of linked text boxes in my work... I really need this on iPad so I can edit these on the go! Thank you!

  7. Font search by typing the name instead of scrolling through list

    Let me search for fonts by typing, rather than scrolling through a long list. In the future it would also be great if I could have some filtering features (serif, sans, script etc…)

  9. Ability to use arrow keys for cursor placement within text.

    When editing text, it’d be great to be able to use the arrow keys on the magic keyboard to move the cursor within text vs. having to use my fingers to drop the cursor.

  10. Creating Fonts & Glyphs

    Leveraging the Glyphs Engine, and allowing to clear and create new fonts, while using the grid to add new characters as glyphs(In a method similar to the "Export" drag N drop feature) and saving them/exporting as a ttc/ttf font file.

  11. Precise Text Size and Spacing Slider

    A more snappy unit for text size and line spacing adjustment slider.
    It is difficult to get a precise clean number with the current slider.
    For example when I wanted to change a text size from 30 to 40 with the slider, it always ended up with numbers such ash 40.73 or 40.28
    A more snappier slider that only move to round numbers or .5 increments would be easier to use.

  12. Make Illustrator for iPad display Arabic text as connected letters

    The Arabic text is supposed to be connected and not have separate letters. This issue is only in Illustrator iPad but not in other apps like Photoshop and Fresco. Please let me know how to fix it.

  13. Feature to to disable/hide unused fonts

    This is definitely not the first time this has been suggested, but at this point in 2023, it’s crazy that there’s not a way to hide unused or rarely used fonts from the main font menu. If I want to find a font, I have to wade through hundreds of system fonts, including things like Noto Linear A, which is an undeciphered script, to get to the font I want.

    Ideally, this would be a toggle button, similar to favorites, where you can click a toggle to hide the font, and have them in a separate “Hidden” category where they…

  14. Multiple lines/text wrap with text on path

    At this point it seems like if you want to type something longer with type on path, you have to keep it to one line, or create a second type on path to continue. This makes it very cumbersome, and impossible to use if you want to type a larger section of text. I think there should be a way to wrap text so it automatically creates a new line of text.

    The current solution is also frustrating because you often have to manually re-shape the path to make things fit evenly/correctly.

  17. Baseline shift, or sub/superscript, SOMETHING for ipad please?

    I’m creating woodworking plans and in a lot of cases that involves writing out fractions rather than converting to decimal. But on the ipad there is apparently zero functionality for adjusting baseline shift or for formatting characters as subscript or superscript. If I want to differentiate them from the surrounding text right now it involves adding a big space in the text on one layer, then creating a whole new layer and manually placing/arranging smaller characters to replicate the look.

  18. Improve full justification settings

    Would be better if the tools were complete in their function. Missing the options for some justification alignment. Who on earth you should have a tool that looks like was left half way.

  19. Add TEXT Opacity Slider To ‘Floating Toolbar’ When Selected

    Please add an Opacity slider to the pop-up action toolbar thingy when text is selected.

    Also, what’s that pop-action toolbar thingy called? ;)

  20. Copy and paste formatting to text

    Please add a very important abbreviation
    It is paste formatting
    (And copy the same text)
    I suggest its shortcut is ctrl + shift + V
    and
    ctrl + shift + C copy shortcut
    As in MS Word
    It's an important shortcut and makes it much easier at work. Please let me know when it's activated
