Double tap on Apple pencil switch between pencil blob / eraser
When I am shutting with the pencil blob. I use the pencil and the eraser.
Switching between those two, will speed up the workflow.

Why doesn’t this have more votes! Every other Adobe app for the iPad allows the Apple Pencil to switch to the eraser when tapped, even Adobe fresco. No idea why this isn’t a function for illustrator..
