Thank you for bringing Illustrator to the iPad! I've been drawing with Illustrator since AI 3, happy to see it mobile so I can draw on the go.

I love the pen tool, but I want to draw more than one line with it. Normally I would deselect a line to start the next one, but my Apple Pencil 1 does not support a double tap (to deselect), and tapping twice in rapid succession doesn't seem to be the same as a double tap. It seems like it should, but I can't get it to work.

Clicking on the pen tool doesn't start a new line either, as it does on desktop.

So to start a new line, I click on the black arrow tool, click on the canvas in a blank area to deselect, then click on the pen tool again, which is an awkward workflow.

Can you add a way to deselect for folks with Apple Pencil 1, or else make it so that clicking on the pen tool terminates the current line and starts a new one?
