Highlighted /selected text is flickering
Highlighted /selected text in Illustrator Beta is all sorts of funky, it flickers and doesn't highlight all text

The same it's happening to me.
I guess it's due to the new "ContentAgnostic Pan" in the Beta.Mac M1 here.

So it’s a GPU bug, thanks for the confirmation.
Still I don’t get if you area using the Beta version (since you originally logged it in the Beta section), or the recent release.
So, if you are using Beta — try the main release, and if you are using the main release — please check it in the Beta, since recently some changes into text engine have been made.

Egor, this is the most up to date version. It looks like it only happens in GPU. It works fine in CPU but I loose the scrubby zoom. I'm running a macbook with an m1 max and 32gb of RAM

Lewis, what about the released version? Can you check the same file with it?
Also — does it change anything if you switch the mode from GPU to CPU?
If yes — what are your full specs?
